What’s happening with Microsoft Vista Operating System?

Sunday, September 21st, 2008

I’ve got a new DELL laptop in June this year. It came with the Windows Vista Operating System. I liked the new look and feel. But I hate running some applications on it. The Internet Explorer 8.0 Beta is one of them.

1. The r.a.d menu control looks so ugly in IE 8.0. Even it looks ugly on Firefox.

2. The auto expansion and collition in dot net nuke dont work. Click the Advanced Settings section on the page settings page of any page. The section simply expands and then collides fast.

3. The shopping cart on http://www.TableTennisStore.us does not work on IE 8.0. It has not even worked successfully on IE 7.0, but on IE 8.0 can’t check out at all.

4. The IR 8.0 blocks the first page of google search results. It seems okay now.

Moab is still beautiful

I love to visit Moab in Southern Utah. I had been here in 2003, 2005, 2007 and April 2008. This is already my second trip this year. From the first visit to this time, I have not seen any new commercial changes here in this area. I love this place because of that reason. As usual my family stayed at the Apache Motel this year too.

Unlike other times, we camped at the Big Bend Recreation Site on Highway 128 for longer time. The George Foreman grill is superb. We had organic steak and kebab. We have not been to Arches National Park, Castle Valley and Canyon Lands this time – a lot of travel will consume the camping time.

The fire consumed a part of Moab this year. We were lucky to have some thunder storms during the weekend, so it was not hot at all this time. I had the regular chat with the Apache Motel Manager who has told me where the fire has started. She has started a monument many years ago to remember a massacre against Indians. That was the exact place where the fire has started. She has worried whether someone can preserve the monument.

We have visited our favorite Chinese restaurant as usual and the grand finale with an ice cream – not from our favorite Moab Diner though.

Discover Moab is a website where there is a lot of information about Moab.
