Anything free comes with a price. That’s my experience with Netzero, a free Internet access provider. In 2001, I opened an account with them. At that time, there was no DSL service available in our apartment. I had to carry the email address that I started with Netzero then until now.
Here is the pain. In 2002, a notorious hacker Ruben Gerad Mathew hacked my account. He was finally caught by the Kerala Police in 2003 within few months after the incident happened. He had connections to a Catholic Charity organization and its workers. The organization is under criminal investigation now for deaths of some 1000 people, abuse of women and scams.
What is my problem now? I can’t receive emails that are sent from certain domains. I have my spam turned off in Netzero, still can’t receive emails. I’m waiting for a Netzero response. Anything free comes with a price.

Except a ‘we have received’ email from Netzero.net, I have received no response from them.
